As the importance of embolotherapy continues to grow, so does the need for not only sufficient, but excellent training opportunities for interventionists wishing to offer state-of-the-art embolization treatments. This is why the European Conference on Embolotherapy is of paramount importance; since 2019, it has provided the most comprehensive and relevant resource for IRs to train in all things embolization, find out about the latest research, and grow their network.

The Scientific Programme Committee which we have the privilege to lead is deeply committed to improve the conference’s programme even further, combining a solid base of procedural training and lots of hands-on training opportunities with the spearhead of research and new developments. In addition, interactive case discussion sessions will give attendees the chance to scrutinise how the various techniques can be applied for the best outcomes.

The topics covered at ET 2024 will be as multifaceted as ever, ranging from MSK to lymphatics and everything in between. We are particularly excited about a new format in which the two plenary sessions in the morning will be followed by “Deep Dive” sessions on the same topics, where attendees will be able to meet the experts in a smaller setting to discuss all aspects of the topic and ask their questions in a direct and informal way. We invite all of you to be part of and benefit from this new workshop session type at ET 2024!

We will again dedicate a substantial part of the programme to the tools and materials of our trade, allowing attendees to stay on the cutting edge of technology which moves ever so quickly in our field. These technical focus sessions will be complemented by hands-on training workshops in which participants will have the opportunity to test all relevant devices and materials, from plugs and coils to liquids and particles, and of course all currently available microcatheters and microwires. This will be a fantastic opportunity not only for our attendees to learn about materials they might not be familiar with, but also to connect with the industry providing them.

We are also very much looking forward to the satellite symposia which will give us the chance to learn about the latest data on the devices and materials we use as well as new developments and possible future applications.

Vienna’s state-of-the-art Messe Wien congress centre will provide an excellent space for our industry exhibition with plenty of room for our corporate partners to present their products and interact with the attending physicians to foster and further develop their connections.

We very much look forward to welcoming you to ET 2024 – Servus in Wien!
