Dear colleagues,

As we work towards creating another exciting edition of the European Conference on Embolotherapy, we are delighted to share the first details of the ET 2027 programme with you.

ET 2027 will introduce an exciting new format with our “Ask the audience” sessions, focusing on men’s and women’s health. Designed to combine fun and audience engagement with practical learning, these interactive sessions will explore a range of embolization procedures in these rapidly evolving fields and give attendees the opportunity to actively participate in the discussion.

We are also looking forward to a wide variety of hot topics in embolization, including emergency embolization for pulmonary haemorrhage and trauma, as well as venous embolization beyond portal hypertension, with a particular focus on lower limb vein embolization. And, last but not least, we will venture into head and neck procedures, providing attendees with an opportunity to become more familiar with embolization techniques and procedures in the neurointerventional field.

Following the success of introducing thyroid embolization at ET 2026, we are very excited to make thyroid artery embolization a special focus of ET 2027. A dedicated deep dive session will allow us to explore this evolving treatment in greater detail and discuss the relevant techniques, data, and clinical experience with experts in the field.

Following the great success of the 2026 edition, prostate embolization and vascular malformations will once again be major focuses of the programme. This time, these topics will be explored through a practical case treatment format, providing an opportunity to learn directly from challenging and instructive clinical scenarios.

We are also very much looking forward to another edition of the Embolization Cup, which was one of the fantastic new events introduced in 2026. We are excited to bring this engaging and competitive format back to ET and look forward to seeing who will rise to the challenge in 2027!

Another exciting addition to the programme will be paediatric interventions, which will be featured at ET for the first time. This is a topic you will certainly not want to miss!

As in previous years, case-based discussions with key opinion leaders will remain an important part of the congress. Each of the main topics will be addressed twice during the meeting, providing repeated opportunities to discuss real-world cases, share practical experience, and learn from experts in the field. This format will continue to place practical, case-based learning and interactive knowledge exchange at the heart of ET.

Overall, ET 2027 promises an exciting combination of established favourites, new formats, emerging indications, and practical learning opportunities. We look forward to bringing the embolization community together once again to exchange knowledge, challenge our thinking, and explore how embolotherapy can continue to improve patient care.

We very much look forward to welcoming you to ET 2027 in Berlin, a city which offers a strong scientific background and vibrant cultural atmosphere, for another inspiring edition of the European Conference on Embolotherapy!
